The Practice

Abena Akuffo-Akoto, Esq., earned her Juris Doctor from Mercer University in May 2008. Prior to her JD, she attained a Bachelor of Arts from The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH, in 2004. Admitted to the Florida State Bar in October 2008, Mrs. Abena Akuffo-Akoto has since dedicated herself to practicing law. She maintains membership in various prestigious associations, including the American Bar Association, Florida State Bar Association, and Phi Alpha Delta.

In May 2022, she founded BGL Associates PLLC, establishing it as a solo law firm specializing in Florida landlord and tenant law as well as immigration law. Due to her personal experience as an immigrant and her involvement in litigating landlord/tenant disputes in small claims court, these areas have become Abena's driving passions. Her commitment is underscored by her results-oriented background, reflecting her dedication to achieving optimal outcomes.
